People often say, “Think outside the box.” I have used this phrase for years.
But the problem is, there was never a box, yet most people still believe it exists.
When I started my first business, everyone told me that I think outside the box, and I carried it on. I think it was just because nobody had handed me a blueprint.
No step-by-step manual explained how a young man with pennies in his pocket could build something meaningful.
If I had waited until I knew everything, I would never have started. I have found that the entrepreneurs who achieve remarkable things often create their own path. Not afraid to question accepted wisdom or stay inside the box.
They are willing to try things that may not work, understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, but part of success.
Too many people spend their lives asking for permission. Permission to dream. Permission to start. Permission to become who they want to be.
You don’t need permission. You need belief to understand the truth: there is no box. There never was, so I believe it’s a great excuse for those who donβt want to stray from the path they have been led down by the system.
