What does freedom mean to you? I have had a few freedom days throughout my life. When I got married, that was freedom to create a new life with Marilyn, freedom to make our own decisions, as up to that point, it was our parents that made decisions for us.
The next freedom day was when we decided to become self-employed; again, it was to make our own decisions in life and not have employers make them for us.
So, over our lives, we have had many what we would call freedom days, some big, some small, but they were all because of what we decided and not someone else, or if it was, it was because someone was doing something that we didn’t want in our lives then consequently we were able to do something about it.
This freedom day is just something else; for a start, we were never meant to be locked up in a cage even if the cage was our own home or locked up in our heads, constantly being brainwashed 24/7 with the fear of dying.
There are some things that you can not do anything about one is try like King Canute did to keep the tied back, he was proving a point that men should not think that they can exploit others just because they have been put in charge, they still do not have the right or the power to stop natural things happening and certainly not to abuse their power given to them by the people to destroy those very people that they have been put there to serve.
