Change your thinking, and you change your life. Not in a fluffy self help way, in a “stop poisoning your own life” way.
Re education isn’t a classroom exercise; it’s the doorway to a different life. A bout of stinking thinking doesn’t mean you’re broken. It just means you’ve been standing in the wrong lift for too long, replaying old stories that should’ve been left on the ground floor.
Picture this.
You step into a lift on the ground floor with twenty strangers, heading for the 96th floor. Halfway up, someone lets off a noise that could wake the dead, followed by a smell that could strip paint. What do you do?
You get out. Immediately. No debate. No committee meeting.
Now imagine the culprit is your partner. Same rule. Escort them out, take a different lift, and only ride with them again once they’ve been retrained not to gas other passengers.
Ridiculous? Yes. But life works exactly the same way.
If you don’t step out of the lift when something stinks, a belief, a habit, a story you keep telling yourself, you’ll stay trapped in the stink all the way to the top. And you’ll blame the lift instead of your own refusal to step out.
You want a better life, job, or business? Change your thinking.
You can’t be, do, or have anything new while clinging to old thoughts. You can’t rewrite the past, and trying to will only drive you mad.
Most people never change because they don’t know what they want. Others know exactly what they want but do absolutely nothing about it.
Once you decide what you want, your thinking finally shifts, and the lift doors open.
But here’s the real question:
If the lift stinks, why didn’t everyone get out?
Some people have been trained to tolerate the stink. Taught not to question anything. Taught to stay quiet, stay small, stay stuck. They drag their stinking thinking behind them all the way to an early grave, never noticing the smell that’s been choking them for years.
I wrote *The answer is yes. Now what is the question? For people who know something must change, but haven’t yet found the spark to start. If you’re serious about creating a better life, start with your thinking. Start today.
