They don’t want you to know about this. This is one of the most mysterious and controversial military missions in history. Right after World War II, the United States launched an expedition to build a research base in Antarctica, but this is where their story starts to break down.

He commanded a fleet of 13 ships, 33 aircraft, and 4,700 men. This unusually large force for a so-called peaceful research mission raised many eyebrows. According to official reports, the primary objectives of Operation Highjump were to train personnel, test equipment in frigid conditions, and establish the Antarctic research base Little America IV. So what happened exactly? There are many documents and theories suggesting that the US was investigating German World War II bases in Antarctica. The Germans had allegedly established a fully functional base called Base 211, also known as New Berlin. At this location, the Germans were said to have conducted research on advanced technologies and spacecraft such as the Hahnabuh.

But it gets even crazier. According to Admiral Byrd’s diary and accounts from his crew, on approach to New Berlin, they encountered a flying disc which guided them towards an opening. This opening led to a highly advanced underground civilization, where Byrd met beings far superior in technology. Byrd claimed that the Germans and these beings were working together, and the consensus is that they are still operational today.
