Stratosphere in Las Vegas
Fantasy and mindset have a significant numbing effect on the pain when the going gets unbearable along the path to achieving your goals in life.
I have described in my book that to get to our desired goals in life, I had to imagine or fantasize that we were in a giant theme park where we had to go on every ride in the park to achieve the desired outcome.
I fantasized that everyone received one ticket for every ride, but you could also exchange them for any other ride in the park.
So to get to our destinations throughout life, we had no choice but to go on every ride, which included the dreaded house of horrors.
While most people are content to choose the small, easy and safe rides like the teacups, constantly swapping their fear tickets for the easy rides ensures that they live inside the park for life.
With over 95% looking through the park railings and seeing what others are achieving, they are stuck believing their captors even when the 5% are willing to help them into a life of freedom and joy.
This theme park idea gave me clarity and the strength that everyone can get through anything that life throws at us by saying it’s just another ride and we’ll soon get through it.
