Are You Buying Or Selling Your Business? Early on in my business, I learned that you buy your business or sell your business every day, but unfortunately, not many people who own a business understand this.

So, at the end of every day, I would ask myself, “Have you bought or sold your business today Neville?” And yes, I do talk to myself.

In other words, has what I have done today increased the value of my business?

If it has increased, I am making it easier to sell, so I am selling; but, if I have not increased the value, I am buying it myself, and then I would ask the question, is that what I want?

There will be times when you think that you have done pretty much what you have wanted to do with the business over the years.

One day it will be the best time for you to go on to new things, but have you increased the value of your business over all of those years that you have spent working on it?
