Over the last 80 years, in the U.K., we have been more or less free to make our own choices about our lives, what we do, where we live, and above all, what we say without the fear of being locked up in jail.
But we have never been free from the consequences of those three things.
e.g. We ask ourselves, should I work for one company for 40 years just because I have a mortgage if I am not happy? Could I do better moving around until I feel I am in my element?
e.g. Why did we move to this part of the country without considering family support now that they are 4 hours away?
Those first two things are easy to alter or reverse as soon as you think about them, but the third is different. It will very soon, in my opinion, have consequences that will alter the freedom that we have had in the U.K. forever.
Freedom of speech.
Everyone who has watched the box over the last three years must have seen the disappearance of any alternative views altering 80 years of history virtually overnight.
This attitude of we are correct, and you are wrong, no matter what you say, we are not listening to you; put this into a competitive business situation, and the consequences are the business would go bust very soon.
The news died in 2020.
Along with our freedom to say what we think, debiting our beliefs on every subject we hear about, ask yourself, is this more like living in China?
Now, after three effing years of dancing to the 1968 pop song, Simple Simon says, a good example is of people standing in restaurants wearing face nappies until sitting down.
By now, we should see the direction we are going in with the new world order of building back better without your opinion.
Our lives in the U.K. without free speech will have the consequences of you not being able to say what we think about anymore; so, by not thinking or listening to other people’s alternative views, the U.K. is finished as we know it.
We elect leaders to listen to our needs, wants, hopes, and dreams and then fulfil them.
