If your heart desires to have a forest, you have to plant seeds every day for as long as it takes.
Marilyn planted a seed on that day when she decided to open that little shop selling secondhand prams—not realizing just how big that tiny seed would grow.
Although, at the time, she never knew just how much that one act of planting that seed in her mind would change her life beyond belief. Along with the effort, care, and love that would be needed along the way, growing that tiny business she started in 1977 into the largest independent Nursery retailer in the UK.
We did not know at the time what rewards that little shop would give back to us in our lives, in the way of lifelong friendships, an excellent standard of living, but the best thing of all was that little shop gave us the time working with our two daughters for longer than we could have ever expected in our lives.
We not only had the pleasure of just seeing them every day for the thirty-four years that we had that shop but working with them was a dream that came true and was more than anything we could have wished for, to see them flourish and grow into wonderful, well-balanced adults that they both are today.
