What is your purpose?
Most of us never stop to ask that question. We chase the next meal, the next gadget, the next paycheck—and call it a life. But purpose is more than survival or success. It’s the deeper reason we exist. And yet, so many people drift through life without ever truly seeking it.
The Majority.
How many of us instinctively know our purpose? Animals seem to. They live with clarity – hunt, mate, migrate, survive. But humans? We’re often lost in distractions. For most, life becomes a cycle of work, consumption, and routine. We settle. We accept. We let others define our path.
The Minority.
Then there are the seekers – the ones searching for meaning beyond the mundane. They ask questions. They explore. They strive to uncover what truly matters. These are the people who sense there’s more to life than what’s handed to them.
The Few.
And finally, there’s a rare group who seem to live with purpose effortlessly. They follow their instincts, embrace each moment, and find fulfilment in the everyday. They don’t chase purpose—they embody it.
In a World of Noise.
So how do *you* find your purpose in a world flooded with TV, social media, and now AI? Where truth feels slippery and lies wear disguises?
Maybe it’s simpler than we think.
Maybe the purpose is just doing what we truly want to.
Not what’s expected. Not what’s easy.
But what lights you up inside?
The Wake-Up Call.
Most of us don’t make a list of life goals when we’re young. We drift like a boat without an oar. Then, near the end, we scramble to write a bucket list—often when it’s too late to chase it.
School should be the second place—after our parents—that teaches us to dream boldly. But how can they guide us if they’ve never walked that path themselves?
Fit for Purpose.
To succeed in life, you must be fit in mind, body, and spirit.
But how can you be fit for something you haven’t defined?
Understanding your purpose is the first step.
Living is the next.
Start Now.
Here’s a simple exercise to uncover your purpose:
1. Write down 50 things that you feel in your heart that you’d love to do or be. Make it wild, wacky, daring.
2. Put the list away for 24 hours.
3. Revisit it. Add more if you can.
4. Wait another 24 hours, then look again.
5. Pick the ones that stir your soul and discard the rest.
Congratulations.
You are now on the road to discover your purpose, so all that’s left is to become fit for your purpose.
