man working down a sewer access holeIt can be amazing what can happen when you shift your mindset from, “I hate what I do,” to, “I love what I do.”

Every day, most of us are told what to do for a specific amount of time, commonly called a job.

Then, after finishing that job, we get to choose what we want to do with the rest of the 24 hours we have left in the day, or we have other things that we have to do in order to survive.

If you are ever in a situation where you don’t want to do something but have to, you mentally have a problem.

I found from a very early stage in my first business that I hated what I was doing, which wasn’t helping me or my business until I realized that the job I was doing that day was the only one I had. I needed the money to survive, so I had a paradigm shift.

A decision was made in my mind that from that second, I would love whatever I was doing, and I also decided that I would do it better, quicker, and cheaper than anyone else.

There was one more thing that I put in my mind that day, that was I could do anything for 12 hours a day that anybody wanted me to do with pride and enthusiasm; that would bore me to tears if I thought I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

That paradigm shift 46 years ago has proved that brainwashing works, so just be careful of what you allow into your mind.
