Casper & Cole Limited

Casper & Cole Limited, the business behind temper, was founded by Neil Rankin, a pioneer of modern barbecue cooking and one of the country’s most celebrated chefs, and Sam Lee, entrepreneur, world traveller and seasoned restaurant-bar operator.

The first temper opened in Broadwick Soho in November 2016.  It’s a unique BBQ and open fire pit restaurant offering a distinctive and authentic dining experience.  Produce is cooked over English oak and coal and served with a selection of sides, tortillas and sauces. The second site, temper City in Angel Court, opened in summer 2017.  The menu focusses on curry, cooked on the signature open fire pit.  Meat is cooked ‘low and slow’ over oak and charcoal using unique smoking techniques developed by Neil himself.  Along with top quality wines temper city will also specialise in gin, sourced from the UK and across the globe.  Each of the 20 gins will have its own gin and tonic and its own bespoke gin based cocktail created by the award wining bar team.temper City | 2 Angel Court | 3 Throgmorton Street | London | EC2R 7HJ

The company’s third site has now opened located in Covent Garden on Mercer Street.  The ground floor site includes a basement and outside seating. The site continues to embrace the themes of the Temper brand and will have wood-fired ovens cooking a variety of pizzas and pasta dishes.  Accompanying the food will be a large selection of vermouths and associated cocktails | 5 Mercer Walk, Mercers Yard, London, WC2H 9FA
